Steve is responsible for underwriting new business, servicing in-force clients, and oversees our underwriting team. Steve is accountable for RFP and reporting development, pricing negotiations, and carrier relations at the highest underwriting levels. He brings a unique consultative underwriting approach that has provided benefits and solutions to our largest and most complex cases.

Prior to joining NAS, Steve was a national account consultant for a team of underwriters, overseeing all new business opportunities over 5,000 lives, and responsible for a block of business with over $300 million dollars of in-force premium at The Hartford.  Steve has extensive knowledge of Life & Disability pricing, manual rate design, carrier expense factors and LTD reserve factors.

Steve received his MBA from the University of Florida and his Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics from the University of Central Florida.  Before joining the insurance industry, Steve was a financial analyst in the municipal bond market for a leading fund and private client equity firm.  Additionally, Steve is a CFA level 3 candidate and spent four years in the U.S. Army Airborne Infantry.
